New Battlefield 3 Footage Shows 64-Player Mayhem on Caspian Border

New footage is out showcasing one of Battlefield 3's 64-player multiplayer maps (PC Only) and the all out carnage this game will be capable of. The map is gigantic, and gives plenty of room for aerial battles, tons of vehicles, and what looks like (at 1:33) a bomb-defusing robot? October is going to be a groovy month.

New Set Pictures from The Avengers

New set pictures from The Avengers depict a more crumbly "New York" (filming is taking place in Cleveland). For the full story and the rest of the pictures (some were more interesting than others) hop on over to ">io9.

Diablo 3 Beta First Impressions Coming In

Whether you are a Blizzard fanatic, a fan of Diablo 3 or just someone minding your own business in a coffee shop somewhere, odds are you've at least heard of Diablo 3. The buzz behind this game is huge, and recently several Diablo 3 announcements from Blizzard have been made that have the gaming community both praising, and loathing the entertainment giant, not the least of which is the start of the Diablo 3 Beta. (Footage below!)

The first is the ability to buy and sell items in an in game auction house both for real world currency and in-game currency.

The second is that the game will require an online connection to even play the single player game.

The question of an always on connection is not new, but this is an unprecedented move by such a large entity in the gaming community. Undoubtedly some will respond with their wallets but the question of whether or not this will continue to be the norm may well be decided in the months following the game's release.

Check out the beta footage below:

Battlefield 3: New Screenshots

This is straight from the Battlefield 3 blog. Admittedly some of these images don't look brand new, especially the face we've all seen a hundred times now. Still, these images show the incredible detail this game is going to be capable of. Let's just hope the game is capable of equally great gameplay! The screenshots are from the Operation Metro and Thunder Run maps.

Batman Fights Bane: The Dark Knight Footage

Footage was taken recently in Pittsburgh on the set of the Dark Knight Rises where Batman fights Bane on the steps of city hall in Gotham. We get to see a little bit of Tom Hardy without the Bane mask and some of him wearing it. This staged brawl must have been something to see from across the street. Also for your viewing pleasure check out the Batman v Bane fight from the animated series!

First Pictures of Anne Hathaway as Selena Kyle

First pictures surfaced recently of Anne Hathaway as Selena Kyle. Will collective fan faith in Christopher Nolan be enough to overcome the Spy Kids vibe? If anyone can pull it off Nolan can, so here's hoping it works, and that Nolan works on the next Spy Kids in some way...
