The first is the ability to buy and sell items in an in game auction house both for real world currency and in-game currency.
The second is that the game will require an online connection to even play the single player game.
The question of an always on connection is not new, but this is an unprecedented move by such a large entity in the gaming community. Undoubtedly some will respond with their wallets but the question of whether or not this will continue to be the norm may well be decided in the months following the game's release.
