The friends and family closed beta has officially started for Diablo 3 and reports are starting to come in from testers everywhere. Below is a compilation of sources to watch live streams of the beta so you can at least get your Diablo fix before official beta starts.

Diablo 3 Beta Leak

Although a Diablo 3 Beta is expected soon, invites have not officially been sent out. This morning a player posted comments on reddit, which finally got posted on the general discussion forum for Diablo 3 with video and pictures from what looks to be the beta.

Look below for further explanation, in the meantime here are pictures and the only video thus far. Here's hoping he streams his gameplay...

New Battlefield 3 Footage Shows 64-Player Mayhem on Caspian Border

New footage is out showcasing one of Battlefield 3's 64-player multiplayer maps (PC Only) and the all out carnage this game will be capable of. The map is gigantic, and gives plenty of room for aerial battles, tons of vehicles, and what looks like (at 1:33) a bomb-defusing robot? October is going to be a groovy month.

Diablo 3 Beta First Impressions Coming In

Whether you are a Blizzard fanatic, a fan of Diablo 3 or just someone minding your own business in a coffee shop somewhere, odds are you've at least heard of Diablo 3. The buzz behind this game is huge, and recently several Diablo 3 announcements from Blizzard have been made that have the gaming community both praising, and loathing the entertainment giant, not the least of which is the start of the Diablo 3 Beta. (Footage below!)

The first is the ability to buy and sell items in an in game auction house both for real world currency and in-game currency.




The second is that the game will require an online connection to even play the single player game.

The question of an always on connection is not new, but this is an unprecedented move by such a large entity in the gaming community. Undoubtedly some will respond with their wallets but the question of whether or not this will continue to be the norm may well be decided in the months following the game's release.

Battlefield 3: New Screenshots

This is straight from the Battlefield 3 blog. Admittedly some of these images don't look brand new, especially the face we've all seen a hundred times now. Still, these images show the incredible detail this game is going to be capable of. Let's just hope the game is capable of equally great gameplay! The screenshots are from the Operation Metro and Thunder Run maps.

Diablo 3 Beta Coming Soon, Mods for Starcraft 2

While there was no release date announced at BlizzCon 2010, it was announced that a closed Beta would be available for friends and family, like with many other Blizzard games. There was some talk of the games focus on PvE, which isn't surprising as it looks like the PvP is fairly chaotic at this point.

Also it turns out we probably won't hear about Blizzard's next-gen MMO until near 2012. The good news, however, is that in the meantime they are releasing some pretty cool mods for Starcraft 2. (Did we mention the Heart of the Swarm probably won't be seen until late 2011 or later?) Mods include a DOTA style game and three other mods, "Aiur Chef," "Left 2 Die," and "Starjeweled." Pictures for those haven't drifted this way yet, but when they do you'll be the first to know.
